Mangaluru, Dec 25, 2023: Captain Brijesh Chowta, a BJP leader from the coast and a retired Indian Army Officer has been appointed as the Secretary of the state unit of the BJP.

Capt Chowta who served as an officer of the 7th Battalion of 8 Gorkha Rifles had returned hometown in 2011 after opting for voluntary retirement. He has also served as the District General Secretary of Yuva Morcha and District BJP General Secretary, during this year’s Assembly election he was in-charge of party affairs in Byndoor constituency.
