Mangaluru, Nov 23, 2023: Captain M V Pranjal hailing from Mangaluru has been martyred in an encounter between the army and the terrorists at Rajauri district of Jammu Kashmir on November 22, Wednesday.
Captain Pranjal (28) who was born and brought up in Mangaluru was serving as the 63rd National Rifles Captain. He was the only son of Anuradha and Venkatesh couple. Venkatesh is the retired MD of MRPL. Pranjal had studied in Delhi School of MRPL upto SSLC and later pursued PUC at a private college in Mangaluru. He then completed his engineering from the Military College of Telecommunication in Madhya Pradesh.
A holiday has been declared to MRPL Delhi School in his honour on Thursday. Pranjal’s father Venkatesh had retired as MD of MRPL on May 31. Presently he is staying at Bengaluru. Pranjal was married just two years ago. His wife is pursuing MTech at IIT Madras.
