Sullia, December 24, 2024: In an alarming incident, cash and gold ornaments were stolen from the home of a temple priest in Subrahmanya.

Anand Bhat, a priest at the Subrahmanya Math, left his residence early on December 22 to perform his regular duties at the Math. Upon returning later in the day, he found the front door lock broken. Inside, the cupboard safe had been forced open.


Theft


An inspection revealed that approximately ₹25,000 in cash and gold ornaments weighing about 23 grams, valued at ₹1.15 lakh, were missing from his wallet stored in the safe.

Subrahmanya police and an investigative team visited the scene for a detailed examination. A case has been registered at the Subrahmanya police station, and further investigations are ongoing.
