Mangaluru, August 2, 2024: The Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management in Mangaluru will host a centralized walk-in interview on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024. This event is organized in collaboration with the Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region), Chennai, and the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka, Bangalore. It offers a promising opportunity for fresh graduates, engineers, and diploma holders to kickstart their careers as apprentice trainees.

The Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region) is an autonomous body under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development. This initiative aims to provide practical training to fresh graduates, engineers, and diploma holders through the ’Practical Training Stipendiary Scheme,’ which was launched by the erstwhile Ministry of Education, Government of India.

In the past year alone, the Board has successfully placed 8,670 engineering graduates, 3,124 diploma holders in engineering, and 3,202 non-engineering graduates, including those with degrees in B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, B.B.A., and B.C.A., in various industries across Karnataka. This sums up to a total of 14,996 apprenticeships during the 2023-24 year.

Centralized Walk-in-Interview Details:
Requirement: Apprentice Trainees
Date: 6th August 2024
Reporting time: 8.30 AM onwards
Venue:  Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Mangaluru
Qualification: Graduates in Engineering / Diploma holders in engineering / General Stream Graduates such as B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com / B.B.A / B.C.A. etc. from Last 05 years of passing i.e. 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 & 2024                                  

The students are advised to enroll in the NATS Portal (https://nats.education.gov.in) & bring enrolment form at time of the Centralized Walk-In Interview
