madoor IsubuJanuary 11: A month after he was arrested and handed to the state police, the ATC has sought the custody of Madoor Yousuf for interrogation.

Madoor Yousuf alias Madoor Isubu (36), a close aide of underworld don Chhota Shakeel is now a suspect in the Chinnaswamy Stadium blasts. The Anti Terrorist Cell (ATC), which is handling the case has sought his custody from Mangalore Jail for interrogation on or before January 20.

Justice for all: Madoor Yousuf was arrested in Riadh by the Interpol,
and is currently lodged at the Mangalore Jail.

The Mangalore police had arrested Madoor, a resident of Kachar village in Mangalore taluk. Madoor was arrested in Riadh by Interpol investigators and then was handed over to the Intelligence Bureau before he was handed over to state police in December. He is now lodged at the Mangalore prison.

’He was aware’
A detailed questioning with Madoor revealed his links accused terrorists such as the Bhatkal Brothers (Riyaz and Iqbal) and other members of the Indian Mujahiddeen and Lashkar-e-Toiba members in Pakistan and the Gulf.

"He was very much aware of the IPL blasts when he was in Saudi Arabia.

"We suspect that he might have played the role of logistics provider for the attack by arranging money," said a Bangalore ATC officer said. Sources say, Yousuf’s interrogation by IB officials revealed many of his terror links in Pakitsan, since he was the close aide of Chhota Sakeel and Dawood Ibrahim in underworld activities who are now alleged stooges of ISI for India.

Join the eight

The Bangalore police have already named eight accused in the twin bomb blasts in the stadium during the IPL T-20 match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore including Shahzad Ahmed alias Pappu, Salman alias Chotu (Both natives of UP and accused in Delhi Blasts case-2008), Moulana Hussain Shabbir Mohiddin Gangavali (Bhatkal), Riaz Bhatkal, Iqbal Bhatkal, Yasin Bhatkal, Mousin Choudhary of Hyderabad and Ameer Raja Khan of Nepal as the accused in the bomb blasts near the stadium. Now, Madoor will be added as the ninth accused, police said.

An ATC  said Bhatkal Brothers (Riyaz and Iqbal) are now settled in Pakistan. Yasin, who was in Karnataka when the blasts took place, may have escaped from India, the official said. The ATC said Mousin Choudhary of Hyderabad is now in Pakistan. He was involved in many terror attacks in Delhi, Mumbai and Gujarat, they said.

Tracing the route
Ameer Raja Khan, who provided fake passports to the fidayeens (terrorists) to fly to Pakistan from Nepal, is in Nepal, sources said. The third accused Moulana Shabbir Mohiddin Gangavli is lodged at the Pune jail. The first and second accused Shahzad and Salman are in Tihar Jail.

"Madoor is said to have visited Sharjah and having met the Bhatkal brothers for discussing the ’Stadium Project’, an officer said. midday
