Mangaluru, Oct 30, 2023: A 37 year old man from Chikkamagaluru has ended his life by jumping into the Netravathi river through the side opening of the fencing on the bridge on October 30, Monday afternoon.

The deceased is Prasanna, son of B S Shankaragowda. Here it is worth mentioning that Café Coffee Day owner Siddhartha too had jumped into the river from the very same spot. Later, a fencing was erected to prevent people from jumping off the bridge.

The reason behind the suicide of Prasanna is not known. Further investigations are underway.
