Clash between street vendors’ association office bearers: Complaint lodged

Mangaluru, August 23, 2024: A clash took place between office-bearers of DK Street Vendors Welfare Association during a meeting of the Association held on Thursday. A complaint has been lodged at Bunder police station.

Treasurer Asif Bava Urumane and Association Vice President Rahman Adyar have alleged that they were assaulted by Association’s Honorary President BK Imtiyaz and others. The two complainants have been admitted to hospital.

In another complaint, Santosh R S, General Secretary of the Association have lodged a complaint against Asif Bava and other office bearers including Harish Poojary and others.

Santosh in his complaint alleged that when the meeting was underway on Thursday evening, the accused barged in and tried to assault and have also threatened others in the meeting.
