Mangaluru, Mar 19, 2022: State Minister for Tourism Anand Singh has said that the government has decided to develop Coastal tourism on the lines of Goa. He said there is hope that the CRZ relaxation process would be completed in the next two months to facilitate tourism promotion.
He was speaking to reporters after chairing a meeting on tourism development at the DC office on March 19, Saturday.
As per the 2019 notification CRZ relaxation mapping has been prepared and sent to Chennai for clearance. Once this is complete, it is expected to get a green signal from the central authority,he informed.
Tourism promotion activities will be further encouraged in Tannirbavi, Sasihitlu, Panambur beaches, he said and added that the meeting also discussed about the holding of an investors meet.
There is also a plan to provide training to those interested in becoming tourist guides to operate from places of tourist importance in the coast, he added.
MLAs Vedavyas Kamath, Bharath Shetty, officials of Tourism Department were present.
