Mangaluru, May 10, 2023: The Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress workers clashed and pelted stones at each other near Moodushedde on Wednesday evening.

The situation escalated when miscreants reportedly pelted stones at Moodbidri Congress candidate Mithun Rai’s vehicle, intensifying the already charged atmosphere. The scuffle escalated, with stones being pelted, resulting in injuries to both police personnel and civilians. A police vehicle was also damaged during the chaos.

In response to the situation, authorities have imposed Section 144 in Moodushedde, prohibiting the entry of outsiders into the area. A check post has been established at Moodushedde to monitor and control access.
