Cops on strict vigil ; many vehicles seized for flouting norms

Mangaluru, May 07, 2021:      In the wake of strict curbs in place in the district   following a spike in Covid cases,  police are on a strict vigil on the streets of the city and are leaving no stone unturned to see to it that there is no unnecessary vehicular movement.

Several vehicles were seized after police found that the riders were moving around without any purpose. Many instances of vehicles  with  fake stickers of essential services were also found. The police have removed the tags and have even seized many vehicles.

City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar  took rounds at Kulai check post and himself ensured there was no unnecessary vehicular movement.
