Crocodile spotted on Netravathi river bank at Uppinangady

Puttur, September 4, 2024: A crocodile was spotted on the Netravathi river bank near the new bus stand at Uppinangady on September 2 causing anxious moments for locals.

Former member of Ilanthila Gram Panchayat Fayaz U T was the first to spot the crocodile on a sand dune and he captured its image in his mobile camera.

The crocodile was spotted around 500 meters away from the place where Netravathi and Kumaradhara rivers merge.

Earlier in September 2022 too three crocodiles were spotted in the river close by the petrol bunk at Panjala.
