Cyber fraud case: Cops arrest Kerala man

Mangaluru, February 8, 2025: The cyber crime police of Mangaluru have arrested a man of Kerala origin in connection with an online fraud case.


The arrested man is Junaid A K. The arrest was made based on a complaint of a person who lost Rs 46 lakhs after investing the money as per the advice of a stranger on WhatsApp who had promised higher returns upon investing in share market.

The police who began investigating, found that the money from the complainant’s bank account was transferred to the bank accounts of a West Bengal man and to the account of Ayisha Hadiya of Kerala. The Rs 5 lakh which was transferred to Ayisha’s account was withdrawn by her husband Junaid and he had handed it over to a person named Manib as per the instructions of a person named Babu in Dubai. Police found that Junaid received a commission of Rs 5000 for this work and have now arrested him.
