Mangaluru, Mar 19, 2021: The free Covid-19 vaccination drive launched by Indiana Hospital and Heart Institute in Mangaluru was inaugurated on March 19, Friday by Deputy Commissioner Dr Rajendra K V.
Speaking on the occasion he said public co-operation is a must in checking the Covid second wave. While pointing out that Covid vaccination is provided free of cost in Government hospitals and PHCs in the district he said Indiana Hospital is the first private hospital that has come forward to offer free vaccination and thanked the hospital management for the same.
Khatib Hafil Abdurrehman was the chief guest.
Dr Yusuf Kumble, Managing Director of Indiana Hospital who spoke on the occasion said the hospital has launched the free vaccination drive with the objective of helping the government’s vaccination initiative. People above 60 years and those above 45 with Heart, kidney ailments or any other ailments can avail of the free vaccination.
Those who wish to avail the facility can call 7259016560 so that their vaccination time can be fixed. The beneficiaries must get any one identification card- Aadhar, Voter’s ID, pan card, driving license or passport.
District Health Officer Dr Ramachandra Bairi, Probationary IAS officer Mona Rawat, Indian Hospital Chairman Dr Ali Kumble and others were present.
