Mangaluru, July 27, 2022: Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra has directed all local administrative bodies and officials concerned to ensure the success of the Har Ghar Tiranga programme organised from August 13 to 15 as part of the Amrit Mahotsav of India’s Independence.
Addressing a meeting on Tuesday, he said there was a need to initiate necessary measures to ensure that national flag is hoisted outside all houses. Already Self-Help Group members through the NRLM have been asked to make national flags. Even he Kannada and Culture Department is supplying flags. At taluk level, Tahsildars must hold meetings to ensure distribution of flags.
He said national flags must be mandatorily hoisted at all government offices, non-governmental offices and residences of government officials as well as railway stations, airports, hostels and commercial complexes, the DC said.
ZP CEO Dr Kumar, SP Rishikesh Sonavane, Additional DC Krishnamurthi, Asistant Commissioner Madan Mohan and others were present.
