Mangaluru, Feb 11, 2023: Targeting the ruling BJP government in Karnataka, state Congress chief DK Shivakumar on Saturday said what would be the condition of the common man when Union Home Minister Amit Shah faced law and order problems in Mangaluru. He made these remarks after the Union Home Minister canceled his road show due to security reasons. Talking to reporters, Shivakumar said that the Union Home Minister was supposed to participate in the road show but it has been cancelled. Amit Shah is facing the challenge of law and order, so can you imagine the plight of the common man? It is an insult to the state. BJP should answer this first.
Sivakumar said that in the recent past, BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kittel’s car was attacked by his party workers. The sons of the poor are being used in such works. If the state is failing to ensure the safety of the Union Home Minister, what more proof is needed? A state government that fails to ensure law and order should resign immediately.
Shivakumar claimed that the Congress would win 10 assembly seats in Udupi district alone. He said that corporations and boards are being formed for all communities. We are bringing a separate tourism policy for the coastal region.
Shah is visiting Pattoor city in South Kannada district to participate in the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Cooperative Limited (Campco). He is about to inaugurate the Bharat Mata Temple, Kanyakumari, the only temple of Bharat Mata in Tamil Nadu built by Dharmashree Prathishthan. The Shah is also scheduled to visit the Hanumagiri temple to offer flowers and worship at the statue of the immortal soldier.
