Mangaluru, August 5, 2024: An FIR has been registered in Kavoor police station in connection with an incident of finding as many as 15 dead sheep near the old toll gate near NITK Suratkal on Sunday.

After spotting the sheep carcass, the locals had informed corporator Shwetha Poojary who alerted the MCC officials and rushed to the spot with MCC staff. Later measures were taken to dispose the carcass safely.

It is believed that someone transporting sheep in a vehicle on spotting a few sheep dead, had dumped them in the bushes on the roadside. Efforts are on to trace the culprits.
