Dedication of new chariot to Kollur Goddess Mookambika tomorrow

Kundapur, Feb 15, 2023: A new chariot has been constructed for the Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple after 400 years. The Brahmaratha is offered to the temple in the form of a Seva by Sunil R Shetty, son of entrepreneur late R N Shetty.

The new chariot is similar to the earlier chariot of the temple and was readied at the Vishwakarma Karakushala Shilpakala Kendra of Kumbhashi. It will be dedicated to Kollur Goddess Mookambika on February 16.

The Pura Pravesha of the chariot commenced at Koteshwara on February 15. Chandrashekhar Shetty, President of Kollur Mookambika Temple Management Committee, sculptors Lakshminarayana Acharya, Rajashekhar Acharya and others were present.

The new chariot was accorded a Poornakumbha welcome  on behalf of various temples on Wednesday at Koteshwara.
