Belthangady, Feb 27, 2021:     Sabitha Monish from Gardady village in Belthangady taluk who was born without  hands, has won the National Woman Achiever  Award for the year 2021. She was chosen for this Award by a Joint Selection Committee of the National Press Council of India and the Newspapers Association of India.

Sabitha  has  fought against all odds and  has never considered her disability as her weakness. A woman with strong determination and will power, while at school and college  she wrote her exam with her  legs and had succeeded.

Sabitha is presently the Children’s Welfare  Office at  Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri.
