Mangaluru, April 16, 2025: Tulasi Maddineni, in-charge Secretary of Dakshina Kannada district, has directed officials to take measures to attract many people towards the several schemes of the government aimed at promoting start-ups.
She was addressing a meeting held at the DC office on Tuesday to review the progress of various departments.
She said despite the district having many professional colleges including medical and engineering colleges, there has not been much demand for start-up projects. She asked the DC to create awareness programmes on start-up schemes in collaboration with professional educational institutions.
Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan said already an agreement has been signed with NITK with regard to patronizing start-ups and hoped more start-ups would come up in the days to come.
