Puttur, Feb 03, 2023: In a freak mishap wherein a dog which was hit by a car  was later caught in the bumper of the vehicle  and safely travelled  for nearly 70 kms.

A couple from Kabaka in Puttur had visited the Kukke Subrahmanya Shrine  and were returning home when their car hit a dog at Balpa. They immediately stopped the car  but did not find the dog around.

However  when they returned home they found the grill of the car’s bumper broken. And to their surprise they found the dog inside. As they could not get the poor animal out, they took the car to a garage and ensured the dog was safely out. Luckily the dog was unharmed inside the bumper.
