Mangaluru, March 29, 2025: Eminent hotel industrialist Dr. Prakash Shetty, based in Bangalore, was conferred with the prestigious 22nd Annual State-Level "Vandana Award" at a grand ceremony held on March 28, 2025, at Hotel Moti Mahal, Mangalore. The award, jointly instituted by the Rotary Club of Mangalore Central and the Rotaract Club of Mangalore City, recognizes his outstanding achievements in the hospitality industry and his invaluable contributions to societal development.

Chairman of the Award Selection Committee, Rtn. Dr. Devdas Rai, presented the award and emphasized that the Vandana Award is conferred upon exemplary achievers as part of the club’s vocational service initiative. Congratulating Dr. K. Prakash Shetty, he lauded his remarkable accomplishments in the hospitality sector and his dedicated service to the community. Rotaract Club President Biddappa M.A. introduced Dr. Shetty and highlighted his significant contributions to the industry.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Shetty expressed his deep gratitude to the Rotary Club, calling the award a privilege and an honor among his many accolades. He attributed his success to divine grace, parental blessings, the guidance of his seniors, the support of friends and family, and the trust of his customers.

The event also featured a felicitation address by Zonal Assistant Governor K.M. Hegde. Club President Brian Pinto presided over the function, while District Rotaract Representative Sanjay R. released the club’s weekly news bulletin, Centor. Secretary Rajesh Seetharama presented the monthly report.

Additionally, Sudhir Shetty was inducted as a new member of the club during the ceremony. Distinguished guests present on the dais included Past President Rajesh Shetty and President-Elect Bhaskar Rai. Rotaract Club Secretary Akshay B. Rai proposed the vote of thanks. The event was sponsored by C.A. Nitin Shetty.
