Mangalore, Jan 20: The SP’s Special Squad led by Sub-Inspector of Police Prakash, which acted on a tip off, arrested two persons who were trying to sell ganja at Vamanjoor in the outskirts of the city on the evening of January 19. About four kg of ganja worth Rs 50,000 have been seized from the two.
The arrested have been identified as Binish (34) and Soorya (18) both hailing from Idukki district in Kerala.
Interrogation of the accused has revealed that they had smuggled the ganja from their home district Idukki in two polythene bags and intended to sell the same at Vamanjoor. Mangalore Rural Police have registered a case and are conducting the investigations.
