Drugs worth Rs 9 lakhs seized at Kulur, 3 arrested

Mangaluru, December 19, 2024: In a major drugs haul, the Kavoor Police and the Ant-Drugs Squad in a raid at Kulur river bank area have seized drugs worth Rs 9 lakhs which were reportedly procured for New Year celebrations.
Those arrested are Devaraj (37), Parvez Umar (25) of Udyavar and Sheikh Tahim (20) of Udupi. The seized drugs included 5 kg ganja, 100 grams MDMA, 7 grams cocaine, 35 MDMA weighing 17 grams, 100 grams charas, 8 grams high grade ganja and 3 LSD strips. Police also seized a knife, weighing machines, Hyundai I 10 car and an unregistered scooter.
Officials suspect those arrested in this case are repeat offenders.
