Mangalore, Mar 29, 2014 : Tejaswini Ramesh, former MP who recently joined the Congress said women need to elect the right candidate if they want to be empowered and if their safety is to be ensured.
Addressing a Women’s Convention organised by the BJP Mahila Morcha at the Subrahmanya Sabha Hall in the city on March 29, Saturday, she said Modi has to be brought to power if the nation needs an able leader who can lead the nation towards progress. She made a mockery of the Congress for not announcing its Prime Ministerial candidate and urged voters to give BJP an opportunity to come to power and Modi to head the nation as its Prime Minister.
She was all praise for the party’s DK candidate and sitting MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and said he had done significant achievement during his five year tenure.
Launching a tirade against the Congress government, she said Naxal activities have seen a spurt under the Congress rule. The poor man is made to suffer due to sky rocketing prices of essentials, she said.
