Mangaluru, June 11, 2024: Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management (SCEM), Mangaluru, an Autonomous Institute affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, was established in the year 2007 under Bhandary Foundation. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi & also Government of Karnataka (GoK). It is Accredited by i) National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with ‘A’ grade, ii) National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for Five Engineering Programs, and iii) the Institution of Engineers (India) (IE(I)). The college is recognized under Section 2(f) and 12(b) of University Grants Commission (UGC) act and as an Innovation Cell by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), India. Sahyadri has been accorded with the recognition of Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India (GoI).

The college also houses New Age Incubation Network (NAIN)/K-Tech since 2017 to promote Product Development and Incubation, recognized by MSME as Host Institute (HI) to establish technical Business Incubator (BI) in 2020. The Institute is listed in the top 25 most innovative self-financed private institution in India by ATAL Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievement (ARIIA) 2020 and in band “Excellent” in Private Engineering Colleges in 2021. TheInstitute has been awarded 4-star ranking by the MHRD-IIC for three successive years, 2019 - 2021. Sahyadri has collaborations and networking with many National and International research organizations, Educational Institutions and Industries.

Sahyadri promotes the idea of Project-Based Learning (PBL) through various activities and initiatives in association with various in-house industries, which helps the graduates to improve their expertise. Throughout the program, students will be provided an opportunity
