Famed writer, lyricist Jayanth Kaikini conferred Vishwaprabha Award

Udupi, Jan 25, 2024: Well-known writer and lyricist Jayanth Kaikini was conferred the Vishwaprabha Puraskara 2024” at a function held at the Muddana Mantap of MGM College on January 24, Wednesday during the Sanskriti Utsav. The event was jointly organized by MGM College, Department of Kannada and Culture and Sanskriti Vishwa Pratishtana.

In his address, Kaikini said art was a way of development and a medium which unites everyone. Literature and education are complementary towards enriching knowledge, he said.

Writer Prof K P Rao presided over the function. Writer and doctor Katyayini Kunjibettu delivered the felicitation address. Sanskriti Vishwa Pratishtana Founder Vishwanath Shenoy, President Professor Shanker, Kannada and Culture Department Assistant Director Poornima and others were present.
