Father-son who went missing near Netravathi bridge still untraced

Mangaluru, Feb 25, 2020:  A Mumbai hotelier with roots in Baltila in Bantwal  and his six year old son who went missing near the Netravathi Bridge almost ten days ago are still untraced.


Gopalkrishna RGopalkrishna Rai (55) and his son Nameesh Rai are the missing persons. Rai along with his wife and son had been to his family home at Pavoorguttu to participate in a Nema. However Rai had left the home at midnight with his son and their WagonR car was found abandoned near the Netravathi Bridge with a  suicide note inside it.

The suicide note was eight pages long  and there was a cash of Rs 6,000 and a liquor bottle inside the car apart from Nameesh’s footwear. In the suicide note Rai had reportedly stated that he had betrayed his wife and was a sinner who killed his son.

The family of Rai is totally shattered following the incident.
