Mangaluru, December 03, 2024: Heavy rains have been lashing Mangaluru and other parts of the district since Monday night due to the Fengal cyclone effect. The incessant rains has led to water logging at many places and there have been reports of water entering houses in several areas.

The administration has already declared holiday for schools and colleges on Tuesday. Water logging led to inconvenience at Kottara Chowki, Pumpwell, Thokkottu and other places. In Karangalpady, the compound wall of a house collapsed and water gushed into the house causing anxious moments.

In Jeppu too a compound wall of a house has collapsed giving room for fears of damage to the house.
