Flash strike by Mangalore University students against harassment by stranger

Mangaluru, Aug 30, 2018: Students of Mangalore University boycotted classes and resorted to a flash protest on August 30, Thursday  demanding action in a case wherein a stranger  misbehaved and harassed a few  girl students in the University campus.

 

It is said that  the stranger who  was riding a bike tried to harass the students who were walking inside the campus on August 29, Wednesday. Though the girls had immediately complained to the University management, it is alleged that the issue was not taken seriously.

The students are protesting outside the Administrative Block against the apathy of the management and want the management to act against the culprit after securing the  CCTV footage.

Though the University officials met the protesting students and assured action, the students are adamant and want the Vice Chancellor to arrive at the spot.
