Mangalore, May 18, 2014 : Srimad Vidyadhiraja Theertha Swamiji of Gokarna Parthagali Jeevottam Mutt has stressed the need to encourage the younger generation to engage in devotion, prayers, meditation and such other practices.
The seer who is presently camping at Gokarna Parthagali Mutt in the city, was addressing devotees during his visit to Shree Venkatramana Temple on May 17, Saturday. Regretting the fact that the present generation lacked interest in religious rituals and ceremonies, the seer said every possible effort must be made to make them religious.
Mahapooja was offered to Lord Venkatramana in the presence of the seer. Prasadam was distributed to devotees later. Balakrishna Shenoy, Padmanabha Shenoy, Jayaraj Pai, Trustees of the Temple, Prabhaker Kamath, Shivananda Prabhu, Pandit Narasimha Acharya, Mundkur Ramdas Kamath and others were present.
