Grand Krishna Leelotsava, Vitlapindi celebrations in Udupi

Udupi, August 28, 2024: Thousands of devotees from far and near witnessed the grand Sri Krishna Leelotsava and Vitlapindi celebrations of the Udupi Krishna Mutt on account of Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations.
The much awaited Vitlapindi celebrations commenced on Tuesday afternoon. Paryaya Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji and other seers participated in the grand Sri Krishna Leelotsava procession.
The Mrinmaya idol of Lord Krishna was placed in a golden chariot and taken in a procession around Carstreet. Another chariot carried the Utsava murthis of Lord Anantheshwara and Lord Chandramauleshwara.
The seers also witnessed the Huli Vesha performance in the platform at the centre of Carstreet.
Various religious and cultural programmes were organized in the temple town as part of Janmashtami celebrations.
The Janmashtami celebrations concluded with the visarjan of the Mrinmaya idol of Lord Krishna.
