Groom goes missing just hours before Mehendi ceremony

Mangaluru, June 01, 2023: A groom has gone missing from Taudogoli Varkady in Konaje on May 30, Tuesday just as preparations were in full swing for the Mehendi ceremony. The wedding was scheduled to be held on June 1, Thursday.

The missing groom is Kishan Shetty, son of businessman Aithappa Shetty. His missing has left the family of the groom as well as the bride in a state of shock.

Kishan was scheduled to marry a young woman who was a lecturer and resided at Jeppinamogaru. The bride’s family hailed from Uppala.

The Mehendi ceremony at the bride’s house was over and the groom’s residence was decked up for the Mehendi on Tuesday. Kishan had gone out to buy fruits. Sources reveal he was seen speaking over phone to someone for long. Later, he has gone missing.

A complaint has been lodged at the Konaje police station as per the complaint lodged by the groom’s father Aithappa Shetty.
