Shiroor, Feb 1, 2013: Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh who was the star attraction at Shiroor where he had been on February 1, Friday to take part in the annual celebrations of the Green Valley National School, has exuded confidence that  he would soon be back in the Indian team.

Speaking to media persons, Harbhajan  said he was keen to get back to the team. While commending youngsters in the team for their good performance, Harbhajan at the same time hinted that he should not be counted out as of now and added “ I will be back where I belong.”


To a question on Saurav Ganguly’s name doing the rounds for the post of Team India coach, Harbhajan said he would be happy if Ganguly was selected the coach. “ He will be a fantastic choice,” said Harbhajan. At the same time, he said another name that came to his mind was that of veteran spinner Anil Kumble.


Referring to his recently released Punjabi pop ‘Suneha,’ Harbhajan said   it was the increasing use of indecent and vulgar lyrics that made him think about bringing the album in good taste. He also said he was enthused with the good response and added the album has registered 3.5 lakh views on Youtube.


Harbhajan also released a brochure of Green Valley School on the occasion.


Among others present were  John Mathew, Principal of Green Valley National School and PU College, Abdul Khader, President and Managing Trustee, Shiroor Welfare Trust and Syed  Hassan Saheb, Senior Vice President of the Trust.
