Harish Poonja has offended people of Belthangady through his acts: District Congress Chief

Mangaluru, May 23, 2024: District Congress President Harish Kumar has said that Belthangady MLA Harish Poonja by behaving like a rowdy has offended the people of Belthangady and his act is condemnable. The Congress leader also said the district has not seen such an MLA.

 

 

Speaking to reporters at the District Congress office, Harish Kumar recalled former Belthangady MLA Late Vasanth Bangera who had a distinct pro-people style of functioning. “However Harish Poonja has crossed his limits and has offended the cops by speaking in favour of a rowdy sheeter. This has made the civil society hang its head in shame,” he said.

Harish Kumar said Harish Poonja must tender his resignation to his MLA post owning moral responsibility. “Let him face elections again and win if he can,” he said.
