Heavy rain: Holiday for schools, anganwadis in Kasaragod

Kasargod, July 05, 2022: Due to incessant rains, Kasargod district collector has declared holiday for schools and anganwadis today. The holiday was announced for schools in Manjeshwaram taluk.

However, the collector said there is no holiday for colleges. The district is receiving heavy rainfall for the last few hours and a yellow alert has been issued in the district today.

IMD predicts strong winds up to a speed of 40 to 50 kmph and occasional gusts of up to 60 kmph are likely along the Kerala-Lakshadweep-Karnataka coasts till July 7, and fishermen have been advised not to go out to sea.
