Police officials, who were stationed at Pumpwell Road Circle, diverted heavy trucks heading for Ullal. Heavy vehicles will be banned from the highways till Nov 15 because their movement during the monsoons can damage the roads.

The otherwise busy highway was silent because of the lack of private vehicles; and people could be seen rushing around, trying to arrange transportation to reach their destination. Heavy vehicles were parked on either side of the highways.
