Mangaluru, Sep 10, 2015 : The VHP and the Bhajrangdal have accused the Police Department of inaction in cattle trafficking cases. Speaking to reporters here on September 9, Wednesday, Kateel Dinesh Pai, Provincial Goraksha Pramukh of VHP has alleged that the police were not taking any action against cattle trafficking to slaughter houses despite being tipped off. “When enquired the police say they have pressure from higher ups against conducting raids,” he further alleged.
At the same time he pointed out how the police had jailed an accused in a case of attack on a church for hurting religious sentiments, while no action is taken against cattle traffickers who transport cattle to butcheries. This too hurts the religious sentiments of Hindus, he said.
Pai further said the Deputy Commissioner led Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has not met since past two years, as per the information gathered from an RTI query.
VHP District President Jagadish Shenava, Pradeep Pumpwell, Gopal Kuttar, Bhajrangdal leaders and others were present.
No only in this case , there are so many other cases the police are not acting strictly. This is just to create some issues, Is this more than a rape case? The people themself don’t get justice and what about cattle’s?
