Mangaluru, Jan 12, 2018: The foundation for the police quarters at Shaktinagar was laid on January 12, Friday by State Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said there will be two blocks for officers and constables and that each block will have 8 and 12 flats respectively. The project will be taken up at a cost of Rs 6.28 crore and is expected to be completed in 16 months, the Minister said.
City Police Commissioner T R Suresh, Mayor Kavitha Sanil, MLAs J R Lobo, Abayachandra Jain, DCC Chief Harish Kumar, Chief Engineer of Karnataka Police Department PP Bhimayya and others were present on the occasion.
