Mangalore, August 24, 2024: "We will not be intimidated by any threats from the Congress. If they have the courage, let them lay siege to the BJP office," challenged MLA Vedavyas Kamath.

Following an incident where miscreants threw stones at the house of MLC Ivan D’Souza in Valencia, Congress leaders had warned of a protest march from Ivan D’Souza’s house to the district BJP office on Friday. In response, BJP MLAs, leaders, and workers gathered in large numbers near the PVS office early Friday morning.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Vedavyas Kamath asserted that no one in the BJP’s stronghold would be cowed by the threats from Congress. He boldly challenged, "If they have the strength, let them break into the BJP office."

Despite BJP workers, including the Mahila Morcha, waiting until the afternoon, Congress workers only marched as far as Kankanady and did not approach the BJP office.
