Indiana Hospital felicitates eminent doctors to mark its decennial

Mangaluru, April 06, 2022: Indiana Hospital and Heart Institute, Mangalore felicitated four renowned doctors of the region in recognition of their outstanding contributions in the field of healthcare. Dr.  K. V. Devadiga, eminent neurosurgeon; Dr. Menal Krishnaprasad, director, Adarsh Hospital, Puttur; Prof. Dr.  Mohammed Ismail, consultant physician and  professor of medicine, KMC,  Mangalore; and Dr. M.K. Moosa Kunhi, director - Cardio Vascular Sciences, Chief Cardio Thoracic & Heart Transplant Surgeon at Indiana Hospital,  were the doctors who were honoured recently during an event to mark the decennial celebrations of Indiana Hospital held at Surya Woods in the city.

Hailing the doctors for their selfless service, Dr. Yusuf Kumble, managing director and chief interventional cardiologist, Indiana Hospital, said, “We recognise the extraordinary contributions of these doctors and they serve as an inspiration to us all.”

Alongside, Dr. Aditya Bharadwaj, consultant physician, intensivist and diabetologist at Indiana Hospital, was honoured with the ‘Best Doctor’ award for his selfless service rendered during the pandemic. With a view to appreciate the dedicated services of the employees, Indiana Hospital also honoured 15 staff members who have completed 10 years of service.

The tenth anniversary celebration function was graced by Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi, Chancellor of Yenepoya Deemed-To-Be-University, Mangalore;  Rev. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, Father Muller  Institutions; AKM Ashraf, MLA of Manjeshwar, Vedavyas Kamath, MLA Manglore South and BM Farooq, MLC Mangalore among a host of dignitaries.

“We take pride and great contentment in saying that Indiana Hospital has crossed the 10-year milestone. Though we are a corporate hospital, we will keep striving with a renewed vigour to give back to society as much as possible because we believe that service to humanity is service to God,” said Dr. Yusuf Kumble.

Dr. Ali Kumble, Chairman of Indiana Hospital, welcomed the gathering. Abdul Latheef, Vice-Chairman, proposed a vote of thanks.
