Kundapur, Jan 22: The annual feast of Infant Jesus was celebrated at Koteshvar, Kundapur on Jan 21, 2011 with great devotion and zeal.

Rev. Fr. Baptist Menezes, The Episcopal Vicar of Udupi District, presided over the solemn festal Eucharistic celebration at 5:00 p.m. with 30 priests concelebrating. He also delivered the homily on the theme “And they were filled with zeal.” Fr. Boniface D’souza OCD, the superior of Carmel Ashram, proposed the vote of thanks; and Fr. Alwyn Sequeira animated the liturgy.


A large number of devotees participated in the festival. A tridum was held in preparation for this feast, and Fr. Alwyn Sequeira prepared the devotees for the feast. 


 

The Carmelite presence in Koteshwar dates back to 1998; and the Infant Jesus devotion was developed from scratch.
