Mangaluru, Nov 14, 2022: A two and a half year old tiger which was injured in a clash between tigers at the Pilikula Biological Park, has died. With this the total number of tigers at the Park has reduced to 11.
The tiger was injured in the clash some time back following which veterinarians Dr Vishnudutt, Dr Madhusudan and Dr Yashaswi had performed a successful surgery on it. The tiger had recovered but there was a sudden deterioration in its health last Friday and it failed to respond to treatment.
A post-mortem has revealed failure of kidney and other organs, informed veterinarians who treated the tiger.
The samples of the dead tiger have been sent to IVRI, Uttar Pradesh and IAH and VB Lab in Bengaluru.
