Mangaluru, Feb 09, 2021: BJP leader Jagadish Adhikari who has been accused of making derogatory statement against the Billawa community is in for trouble after a non-bailable FIR was registered against him at Moodbidri Police Station on Monday. Meanwhile, former corporator and Congress leader Pratibha Kulai has stirred a row by stating that she would reward Rs one lakh to anyone who blackens Adhikari’s face. In a Facebook live video she also asked Adhikari of dire consequences if he does not visit Koti Chennaya Garodi and offer unconditional apology within three days. Adhikari should also tender apology to senior leader Janardhana Poojary, she demanded.
It may be recalled here that Adhikari had recently made unsavoury remarks against Tulunadu legends Koti Chennaya, Billawa leader Janardana Poojary and the Billawa community at a Nemotsava ceremony and the video of the same had gone viral. Following this, Billawa leaders including Guru Narayana Swami Seva Sangha, Moodbidri President Raju PK lodged a police complaint against Adhikari. Meanwhile, the BJP leader had tendered an apology on Saturday for his remarks.
