Mangalore, Dec 18: The youth wing of Jamathe Islami Hind, DK district, organized a rally from Jyothi Circle, ending with an awareness meet in front of the DCs office on Dec 18, Friday, to enhance awareness about the evils of capitalism and socialism.
Mohammed Kunni, the district president of the Youth Wing of Jamathe Islami Hind, said that the government of today has decided to establish factories upon the graves of poor people. Only Mahatma Gandhi is the role model of the Youth Wing of Jamathe Islami Hind, he said.
Shashikanth Yadahalli, the editor of Rangabhoomi Vishleshane, Bangalore, said that people usually say that the country must be protected from poverty; but actually the country ought to be protected from the rich. He said that India has still not achieved independence in the real sense. He alleged that, if Indians stage a protest against socialism or capitalism, the government orders the police departments to arrest Muslims on grounds of terrorism and Hindus on grounds of Naxalism.
He also said that foreign goods and their attractive advertisements have captured the imagination of Indians. If all Indians decide to refrain from purchasing foreign goods, the international market will fall and the Indian market will survive. He also advised farmers to avoid using pesticides, which only make the land barren.
Natesh Ullal, the spokesperson of Karavali Karnataka Janbhivriddi Vedike, said that people believe that casting votes is their duty toward the country; however, this is just a small part of their duties. People must be courageous enough to question the government officials on matters of national significance, he said.
