Jaya C Suvarna, former chairman of Bharat Co-operative Bank passes away

Mangaluru, Oct 21, 2020: Former chairman of Bharat Co-operative Bank, Founder President of Billawa Mahamandala and President of Kudroli Shree Gokarnanatha Temple Development Committee Jaya C Suvarna (82) passed away at Mumbai on October 21, Wednesday morning. He has left behind his wife and four sons.
Jaya Suvarna who is also a hotelier in Mumbai was active in the social, educational and religious fields and was the driving force behind the development of Bharat Co-operative Bank in Mumbai. He was a close aide of former minister and senior Billawa leader B Janardhana Poojary. Suvarna also played a key role in the construction of Billawa Bhavan in Mumbai and Billawa Mahamandala Bhavan, Mulki.
His last rites will be held at Mumbai today at 3 pm.
