Speaking about the inquiry conducted by the commission on the attacks on Christian places of worship, the justice said that most of the communities were disturbed by the tense atmosphere created by these attacks. Besides, legal formalities hindered the quick resolution of these issues. The government, under these circumstances, had to take every community into confidence and sort out the troubles. The commission was successful in conducting the enquiry without distressing anybody belonging to any community, he said.

All departments have cooperated whole heartedly, he said. The enquiry list will be concluded by the end of March 2010. Recently, the commission has worked hard without any break. Thirty-one lawyers have argued during the sittings. The commission also recommended retired PWD engineers to prepare plans of damage in prayer centers so that adequate compensation can be provided.
