K S Hegde Medical Academy trains KSRP staff on first aid, life support skills

Mangaluru, Aug 04, 2023: Department of Orthopaedics, K S Hegde Medical Academy- Constituent of Nitte DU, observed & celebrated ‘Bone & Joint Day 2023’ on Friday, 4th August. Going on lines of the prestigious Indian Orthopaedic Association, theme for this time’s event was ‘Each one - Train one - save one’.

 

 

 

 

 

As a part of the programme, total of 95 participants including 67 personnel of the Karnataka State Reserve Police were trained on First Aid & Basic Life Support skills. Commander of 7th Battalion of KSRP Shri Prasad B M, Head of Department of Orthopaedics Dr Vikram Shetty, Chief Coordinator of NU- MEDism Dr Gayathri graced the dias on the occassion.

Shri Prasad B M in his talk, emphasised the importance of knowing BLS skills for all the police personnel as it was the need of the hour. Dr Vikram Shetty also briefed the gathering regarding the idea and thought process behind organising such an event, and also assured complete support with training resources in the coming future for any such events.
