Mangalore, Feb 11, 2014: In a new development, Padmanabha Prasanna Kumar, the Founder President of Karnataka Janatha Paksha (KJP) has made it clear that his party is not merged with the BJP. He also said here on February 11, Tuesday that he continues to be the State President of KJP as per the decision taken at a meeting of KJP members.By saying as above Kumar has refuted the statement of former CM Yeddyurappa that the KJP has been merged with the BJP. Prasanna Kumar said though Yeddyurappa and his followers have rejoined the BJP it does not mean that KJP too has merged with the BJP. “No one will be allowed to merge KJP with the BJP,” Prasanna Kumar asserted and said his party will contest all 28 Parliamentary constituencies in the state.
He even said his party will field former minister and former MP Dhananjaya Kumar from Mangalore and said talks will be held with the latter very soon. A decision would be taken in the next few days, he said.
Prasanna Kumar also informed that his party will release the list of candidates after March 16.
