KSRTC bus crew rush to the help of ill passenger; drive bus straight to hospital

Hebri, October 1, 2024: In yet another case of exemplary humanitarian act, the crew of a KSRTC bus drove the bus straight to the hospital after a young woman who was travelling in the bus fell ill all of a sudden.

The incident took place in the Shivamogga-Udupi KSRTC bus on Monday evening. A young woman named Suraksha had boarded the bus at Megaravalli. However she fell ill when the bus reached the ghat section. The bus conductor immediately rushed to her help and asked driver Taresh to take the bus straight to the hospital. The bus was then taken to the Someshwara sub-primary health centre. However when her situation did not improve, the driver drove the bus straight to a hospital in Hebri and even informed the police who ensured the bus did not face any traffic issue. The young woman was admitted to Hebri Government Community Hospital where she is recovering.

Suraksha’s mother Rekha has thanked the bus crew for their humanitarian deed. The bus driver and conductor have won a lot of praise from the public too.
