Bangalore, Jan 10, 2013 : The Karnataka High Court has on January 9, Wednesday disposed of a Public Interest Litigation seeking the appointment of a Special Investigation Team to probe into the case of the hate speech delivered by RSS leader Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat at Uppinangady in January last year.
The PIL filed by Suresh Bhat Bakrabail, President of Komu Sauharda Vedike, had alleged that the inflammatory and derogatory speech delivered by the RSS leader had endangered peace as the speech was target ed at the Muslim community.
The High Court Division bench disposed of the case stating that as the case was before a lower court it would not intervene.
It may be mentioned here that though a case had been filed against Kalladka Bhat in the Uppinangady police station under IPC Sections 153A and 295A, the police had later on filed a ‘B’report in the court on the grounds that there was no evidence.
